Eliahu Diner
Born in 1947 in Berlin, Germany. In 1949 left to France with my family,
leaving
again in
1951, this time to Argentina.
In 1973, my wife Ester and I emigrated to Israel, joining Kibbutz Ga’ash.
In 1975 we left the
kibutz and settled in Tel Aviv.
In 1972, still in Argentina, I began my art studies at the studio of the
argentinian
painter
Miguel D
á
vila.
In Israel I studied at the Tel Aviv art Museum and the Avni Art
Institute. I then attended the
Meimad School of Visual Arts from 1983 till 1988, where I was taught by
the painters
Uri Stetner, Jan Rauchverger and Harold Rubin, among others. I remained in
close contact
with the
last two for at least two years after my graduation.
In 2002 I received my B.A. degree in Multidisciplinary Art Studies from
Tel Aviv University.
I became a member of theTel Aviv Artist Association in 1992, and the director of the
etching
workshop at the Tel Aviv Artists' House in 2000.
Since my graduation I've exhibited my work in about 20 shows, 12 of them being
individual
shows.
